ROLE OVERVIEW:

The selected candidate will be integral in ensuring the security and compliance of information systems and data management. This role involves overseeing the daily security and compliance operations of complex information system environments, ensuring adherence to established policies and regulatory frameworks.

PROJECT SCOPE:

The specialist will work closely with the Security Risk and Compliance Manager, acting as a seasoned cybersecurity advisor to leadership, business units, and external partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Lead the development and enhancement of security and compliance initiatives based on regulatory standards.
  2. Conduct thorough architectural reviews and risk assessments to inform decision-making.
  3. Champion the design and implementation of security protocols and compliance measures.
  4. Perform audits and assessments of internal systems and third-party service providers.
  5. Utilize various software tools to document and report findings from audits and assessments.
  6. Serve as the primary liaison for external audits and assessments.
  7. Collaborate with stakeholders to provide actionable recommendations for risk mitigation.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with technologies such as:

  1. Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions
  2. Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems
  3. Network Firewalls and Intrusion Prevention Systems
  4. Cloud services and vendor management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 5+ years of experience in IT, particularly in auditing and compliance.
  2. Strong knowledge of FISMA, NIST, and HIPAA standards.
  3. Prior experience with eGRC systems.
  4. Relevant certifications such as ISC(2), ISACA, or SANS GIAC.
