Key Responsibilities:

  • The Cost Analyst in Manufacturing will oversee critical monthly closing tasks, report on the cost of goods produced, and conduct thorough variance analyses. This role will also contribute to essential components of the budgeting process and periodic forecasts for our manufacturing facility, alongside weekly and monthly reporting duties.
  • Collaborate with team members to facilitate the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes while promoting efficiency and compliance with financial controls, variance understanding, and forecasting precision.
  • Analyze and present financial outcomes, including detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year results.
  • Deliver comprehensive analysis of direct and indirect labor costs as well as departmental overhead expenses.
  • Provide monthly evaluations of manufacturing savings initiatives and material variances, including Purchase Price Variance (PPV), Material Usage Variance (MUV), freight, and duty expenses.
  • Prepare and present monthly assessments of manufacturing savings initiatives.
  • Assist in the annual budget preparation, analyzing monthly cost of goods produced and periodic forecasts.
  • Foster strong internal relationships within Global Finance and Supply Chain teams.
  • Maintain the SOX control program and ensure proper documentation is in place.
  • Support internal and external audits by supplying necessary schedules, data, documentation, and process information as required.
  • Assist with or lead ad hoc financial analyses and presentation materials as needed.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient understanding of cost accounting and variance analysis in a manufacturing context.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Expertise in Excel.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls/SOX.

Minimum Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.

Minimum Years of Experience Required: 1-3 years.

The base salary range for this position is competitive and may vary based on skills, experience, and job-related knowledge.
