The Opportunity
Our client, a leader in the design and manufacturing of cutting-edge robotic packaging solutions for the food sector, is seeking a Cost Management Specialist for their York, PA location.
This role reports directly to the Director of Finance and Accounting and is integral to the daily financial operations of the organization.
- Act as the financial expert overseeing inventory management from acquisition to project completion.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Operations, Shipping/Receiving, and Purchasing, to ensure stock accuracy.
- Manage cycle counts and physical inventory checks, along with month-end reconciliations.
- Monitor and analyze revenue and cost streams, providing monthly variance reports.
- Supervise the calculation and updates of standard costs, including inventory reserves.
- Deliver ongoing financial analysis and reporting support.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Focus on reporting related to the cost of goods sold and inventory management.
- Assess new product costs and evaluate profitability metrics.
- Support cross-functional teams and conduct root cause analysis on discrepancies.
- Utilize monthly financial results for forecasting and risk evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Over 5 years of experience in Cost Accounting within a manufacturing context
- Proficient in cost systems and analytical skills
