We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Coordinator to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will be responsible for registering patients in multiple service lines, collecting and verifying demographic, financial, and clinical information, and ensuring accurate and timely registration processes.
Key Responsibilities- Register patients and confirm demographic data on registration systems
- Verify insurance information and obtain authorization and/or referrals as required
- Screen for and process non-covered services and waiver of liability (ABN) through automated screening
- Collect patient payments and provide accurate receipts
- Document patient account notes for all interactions/transactions
- Maintain departmental and/or individual work queues and reports as required
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, required
- At least one (1) year of experience in the hospitality or service industry, preferred
- Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing
- Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands
- See and read computer monitors and documents
- Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment
- May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling, and reaching
