We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Youth Program Coordinator to join our team at Equus Workforce Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of our youth staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our programs and services.
Key Responsibilities- Program Management: Manage the day-to-day functions of the youth staff, including delegating work and authority, assigning priorities and scheduling to meet planned objectives.
- Workshop and Facility Management: Ensure workshop rooms and common areas remain uncluttered and professional in appearance.
- Staff Support: Coordinate regular ongoing meetings with the Youth Director and staff, process Summer Work Experience payroll, collect timesheets and enter payroll information for summer staff and participants.
- Resource Management: Maintain information about area resources and employers, plan and organize youth center activities.
- Retention and Advancement: Monitor progress throughout the program cycle, beginning with referral and continuing through retention and advancement efforts.
- Administrative Support: Provide clerical functions and administrative duties in the office, answer the phone and take messages for all employees, maintain petty cash and disperse funds when necessary.
- Recruitment and Hiring: Conduct phone screening for potential summer employment candidates, prepare outgoing mail and distribute incoming mail, purchase and maintain inventory of office supplies.
- Reporting and Evaluation: Submit internal and customer reports as required, process incoming mail and referrals, facilitate staffing-services, prepare and conduct staff performance reviews.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
- Marketing and Promotion: Ability to market Equus Workforce Solutions and explain the mission to the general public.
- Teamwork: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with and among all personnel.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all information housed in the division.
- Adaptability: Ability to work occasionally long or extended hours, including weekends, and function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.
