Senior Cloud Reliability Engineer

Job Summary
Apple is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Reliability Engineer to join our Apple Services Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the reliability and scalability of our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SRE tools and applications to ensure the availability and performance of our cloud services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the lifecycle of services from inception through deployment, operations, and refinement.
- Analyze logs and telemetry data to identify and resolve issues, and write monitoring and automation code to prevent future occurrences.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide technical expertise and troubleshooting during service-level impacting events.
- Collaborate with dependent teams and customers through clear communication and documentation.
- Operate our application at scale, across multiple geographically dispersed public and private clouds, to support Apple's mission-critical internal efforts.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent field with 5+ years of experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-focused role.
- Lower-level understanding of the Linux Operating System, standard networking protocols, and components.
- Experience with containers and orchestration via Kubernetes in public/private clouds.
- Hands-on experience managing large numbers of diverse systems with configuration management, infrastructure provisioning tools, or software delivery platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Competitive base pay, with a range of $175,800 to $312,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
