Position Overview

A dedicated hardware reliability team is seeking a proactive and meticulous engineer who can spearhead and implement reliability assessments on Main Logic Boards. This role involves identifying challenges related to hardware module integration through FMEA, conducting system reliability evaluations, performing failure analysis, and ultimately quantifying the reliability of designs.

Key Responsibilities:


• Formulating and executing comprehensive test plans while compiling test and failure data.


• Conducting statistical data analysis to deliver risk evaluations for product designs.


• Investigating failure modes for emerging technologies to carry out thorough FMEA (Failure Modes & Effects Analysis).


• Prioritizing and accomplishing tasks to adhere to project timelines.


• Offering design suggestions to cross-functional teams to enhance product reliability.


• Collaborating with diverse individuals and teams to effectively communicate findings.

Essential Qualifications:


• Proven experience in reliability testing, including Mechanical Stress Tests, Shock/Drop/Vibration Testing, and Environmental Tests.


• Comprehensive understanding of failure analysis techniques (Optical Microscopy, X-Ray, SEM/EDS, FTIR, XPS, etc.).


• Familiarity with JEDEC/IPC standards for semiconductor package qualifications.

Extensive experience in Silicon product-level reliability qualification, associated failure modes, and lifetime behavior modeling.


• Exceptional problem-solving skills.


• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to provide clear summaries to senior management and facilitate in-depth discussions with cross-functional teams.


• Keen attention to detail to influence architecture during the initial phases of projects.


• Effective time management skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.


• A dynamic and proactive attitude with a passion for collaborating with an outstanding team and product.

Education and Experience:


• M.S. or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.


• Experience with semiconductor packages or consumer electronics is advantageous.


• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
