About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our Apple Maps Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and SRE teams to ensure secure and efficient operation of services
  • Drive optimization opportunities in a hybrid cloud environment
  • Work on capacity planning, configuration management, optimization, and monitoring
  • Develop and maintain core infrastructure services like LDAP, Puppet, and Repo
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure focused role
  • Experience supporting internet-facing production services and distributed systems
  • Experience in managing core infrastructure services like LDAP, Puppet, Repo's etc.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and experience in a Hybrid cloud environment
  • Proficient in Golang, Ruby, Python, or other scripting languages
  • Container services (Docker/Kubernetes), system administration
  • General understanding of security and networking concepts
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge in or interest to work on configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet or Ansible
  • Experience with core infrastructure services like LDAP, DNS, Puppet, Repo, etc.
  • A strong sense of ownership
  • Vulnerability management in a hybrid cloud environment
  • Datacenter Optimization initiatives
