About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Conversation Designer to join our Alexa UX team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing the voice interaction model for customers across various features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create user-centered designs through consideration of UX research, market research, business requirements, customer feedback, and usability study findings.
  • Translate business requirements into use cases and high-level customer experience requirements.
  • Design the interface and interaction flow of new voice and multimodal applications.
  • Develop conceptual diagrams and voice interaction prototypes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications.
  • Present design work to the user experience team, product team, engineering team, leadership, and external partners for review and feedback.
  • Work with our usability and data mining teams to assess and optimize new and existing features.
  • Develop high-level strategy for customers for both near and long term.
About the Team

The Alexa UX team is at the forefront of creating innovative experiences that meet customer needs across Echo devices with screens, mobile apps, Fire TV, tablets, and more.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of design experience.
  • 3+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer experience.
  • Have an available online portfolio.
  • Experience prototyping (HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash or Flash Catalyst, or Axure).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of mass-market consumer web / mobile products experience.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base pay range of $106,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market, as well as equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation.
