Job Summary

The American Psychiatric Association is seeking an experienced professional to serve as the Associate Director, Center for Workplace Mental Health. This role is responsible for executing the Center's employer outreach and engagement strategy, coordinating internal work, and developing content for employers about workplace wellness and mental health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop initiatives and content for employers about workplace mental health, including profiles on employer best practices and trends.
  • Research identified topics using scientific research and grey literature.
  • Write and develop content for employer audiences to increase understanding of complex issues and provide practical strategies for improving mental health.
  • Facilitate editorial processes, including working with employer corporate communication and internal subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate with the APA Marketing and Communications Department to develop communications and content in multiple formats.
  • Manage day-to-day production of key communication channels, including the website for employers.
  • Manage external vendors and coordinate primary and secondary distribution to subscribers.
  • Track engagement metrics and analyze findings to continually improve the experience of users and value of content to the target audience.
  • Represent the organization and present externally at employer conferences, meetings, and webinars.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in mental health or human resources and 5 years' experience or bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years' experience working in corporate employee human resources.
  • Subject matter expertise in employer and employee wellness and mental health trends, needs, and solutions for large corporations or NGOs.
  • Stellar verbal and written communications, strong analytical skills, and proven ability to build relationships with employers and related stakeholders.
