Behavioral Health Patient Coordinator

The Behavioral Health Patient Coordinator plays a vital role in providing exceptional support to individuals and families seeking Behavioral Health Services. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to problem-solve in crisis or conflict situations.
Key Responsibilities- Implement a screening and triage process to assist potential clients in determining the necessary services.
- Answer and return client calls, maintaining a working relationship with managerial, administrative, and clinical staff to ensure efficiency in day-to-day responsibilities.
- Add, update, and edit scheduling services, as well as complete all data entry for pre-admission, including identifying information, reason for referral, relevant history, and payor type information.
- Identify emergent or complex cases and seek clinical review, as needed, prior to finalizing the patient's appointment.
- Maintain confidentiality of all clinical and administrative information consistent with agency policy.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in front office work preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs and excellent data entry skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette.
- Ability to maintain confidential records.
Prolonged periods of sitting at an office desk on the computer. Lifting: Able to lift up to 15lbs.
