The primary objective of this role is to oversee and spearhead the Council's strategic initiatives and operational advancements in addressing all matters related to anti-social behaviour and community safety, while supervising the aforementioned positions.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure a timely and effective response to anti-social behaviour and other violations of tenancy agreements, supported by a comprehensive action plan.
  2. Evaluate individual circumstances and collaborate with relevant agencies such as law enforcement, social services, mental health teams, employment services, benefits agencies, and advisory organizations to promote tenancy stability.
  3. Conduct home assessments and engage with statutory, voluntary, and external organizations, including participation in case discussions or other necessary meetings.
  4. Attend and contribute to both internal and external meetings as required.
  5. Provide clear and effective leadership and collaborative management for the community safety agenda across the Council, working closely with elected officials and senior management across all service sectors to ensure compliance with statutory obligations under relevant legislation.
  6. Offer guidance and insights regarding community safety policies and initiatives, liaising with other Council departments, external organizations, and partnerships to address the community safety requirements of the Borough.
  7. Lead strategic problem-solving efforts within the Community Safety Partnership, developing and implementing relevant protocols, policies, and practices to enhance intelligence-led multi-agency problem-solving activities.
