Position: Tax Staff

Compensation Overview:

Hourly Rate: Ranges from $26.40 to $33.00 (dependent on experience)

Annual compensation can be estimated based on approximately 2,300 hours worked annually.

For example:

2,080 hours (40 hours/week * 52 weeks) at $26.40 = $54,912.00 annually

220 overtime hours at time and a half ($39.60) = $8,712.00 annually

Total Estimated Annual Compensation based on 2,300 hours: $63,624.00

Position Type: Full-Time Non-Exempt

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act, compensation differentials for this role are determined by education, experience, training, and geographic location, along with DWC's seniority and merit systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with Supervisors to ensure client adherence to tax regulations while minimizing tax liabilities.
  • Preparing necessary tax filings and documentation, customized to each client's specific needs.
  • Gathering and communicating all essential data for precise tax return preparation.
  • Employing advanced compliance software to enhance the tax preparation workflow.
  • Assisting with tax advisory services, proposing effective strategies to optimize client benefits and reduce tax obligations.
  • Utilizing your knowledge of state tax structures and filing requirements.
  • Composing clear and concise memos and correspondence.
  • Identifying potential tax challenges or opportunities during the compliance process.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • Familiarity with tax laws and regulations.
