We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Preparer to join our team at Sr. Tax Advisory Group. As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing income tax returns for individuals and small businesses.
Key Responsibilities- Interview clients to collect information on taxable and non-taxable income, deductible expenses, and available credits.
- Prepare or assist in preparing simple to complex tax returns for individuals and small businesses.
- Consult tax law reference handbooks as needed.
- Prepare work papers that support and cross-reference to the tax return.
- A minimum of 3 years of extensive experience in tax preparation and review.
- Knowledge of tax preparation software, including UltraTax and/or SurePrep.
- A thorough understanding of the tax process.
- The ability to work with retiree and near-retiree clients.
