Foothill De Anza Community College District is seeking a qualified part-time Computer Science Instructor to join our team. As a Computer Science Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching computer science courses and contributing to the development of our students' skills and knowledge in this field.
Responsibilities- Teach computer science courses, including introductory and advanced courses, to students of varying skill levels and backgrounds.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to ensure student learning and success.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students, including office hours and one-on-one meetings.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments in computer science, and incorporate relevant topics and technologies into your teaching.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and other educational programs.
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
- Experience teaching computer science courses, either at the high school or college level.
- Strong understanding of computer science concepts, including programming languages, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
This is a part-time, non-tenure-track position. The successful candidate will be required to work on a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed. The position is located on the Foothill College campus in Los Altos Hills, California.
