Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Maintenance Inspector to join our team at Intertek. As a key member of our Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team, you will be responsible for ensuring that traffic control setup is compliant with approved traffic control plans.

As a Traffic Maintenance Inspector, you will perform inspections of closures, detours, and periodic traffic control devices. You will also utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams to observe site activities and perform tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections of closures, detours, and periodic traffic control devices
  • Ensure traffic control setup is compliant with approved traffic control plans
  • Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams to observe site activities and perform tasks
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications and perform complex assignments
  • Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results
  • Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with client and project teams
Requirements
  • 1 year of relevant experience with inspections or implementation of MOT plans during the construction phase of highway projects
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record
  • Ability to work off shift and overtime as needed
  • Basic Math, Calculator, and Computer Skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communication
  • Must be able to read plans and specifications
  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
Preferred Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • MOT inspections on TXDOT highway projects and Work Zone Traffic Control for Contractor's Responsible Person training certificate
  • TEEX Certification
