Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate strategic plans at departmental, class, and product levels to ensure alignment with the company's financial targets and merchandising strategies across various channels and marketplaces.
  • Enhance inventory management through effective planning, purchasing, and assortment management across channels and warehouses to meet sales objectives while minimizing inventory risks.
  • Supervise inventory management and allocation processes to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure efficient distribution across all channels.
  • Collaborate with operations and channel leaders on inventory optimization efforts by warehouse and lead initiatives for inventory rebalancing based on sales forecasts.
  • Direct and execute pricing and promotional markdown strategies to boost revenue, manage inventory effectively, and support timely investments for critical programs.
  • Conduct monthly Open-to-Buy (OTB) reviews and adjust inventory strategies to facilitate timely investments and support essential programs.
  • Assess and integrate advanced technology and business intelligence tools to improve forecasting accuracy and inventory management practices.
  • Develop and strategize tools and dashboards to enhance workflow execution and drive key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • 10-15 years of experience in merchandise planning and multi-location allocation within vertical specialty retail.
  • Proficient in tool development, data visualization, and innovative practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of retail mathematics, including markup, margin planning, sales analysis, and inventory productivity metrics.
  • An MBA degree is preferred.
  • Experience in the apparel sector is advantageous.
  • A background in wholesale planning is beneficial.
