Position: Senior Business Analyst

Location: Remote (Onsite requirements may apply)

Contract Duration: Initial 1-month engagement (potential for extension)

Position Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in delivering in-depth forecasting, managing client and sales engagements, overseeing order and inventory processes, and executing various analytical tasks. This position demands exceptional analytical capabilities, sound business acumen, and proficient communication skills to effectively support upper management, sales personnel, and clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

Forecasting Duties:

  • Construct independent models for assessing item-level forecasts and analyses, taking into account factors such as overall consumer demand forecasts, product history, inventory metrics, and marketing initiatives.
  • Generate point-of-sale forecasts based on seasonal trends, planned promotions, distribution channels, and pricing strategies.
  • Compile reports, presentations, and analyses for senior leadership to convey and monitor business financial outcomes and objectives.

Client & Sales Engagement:

  • Engage daily with account planning analysts to oversee inventory, order processing, and forecasting activities.
  • Facilitate regular collaborative meetings with sales teams, buyers, and inventory analysts.
  • Prepare presentations for business review sessions, trade shows, and other ad hoc requirements.

Order & Inventory Oversight:

  • Provide recommendations for domestic and direct import orders and develop store-level order suggestions to optimize in-stock availability.
  • Monitor and evaluate item-level inventory status.

Ad Hoc Analytical Support:

  • Produce reports as needed to assist the sales team, meet customer demands, and fulfill other business needs.
