Job Summary

Generation Hope is seeking a highly skilled Finance Coordinator to support the organization's financial operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Finance & Administration and Interim VP, Strategy & Operations to ensure accurate financial documentation and processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing administrative and fiscal operations, including bookkeeping functions.
  • Support the Interim VP, Strategy & Operations in daily work routine, including managing requests and completing special projects.
  • Handle printing, copying, filing, and triage mail and email/messages.
  • Schedule departmental meetings and prepare meeting agendas and materials.
  • Prepare and reconcile credit card accounts.
  • Maintain paper and electronic filing systems.
  • Attend meetings and take notes, preparing initial drafts of minutes and summaries.
  • Support colleagues in setting up, documenting, and managing processes in relation to Accounts Payable.
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks, data entry, tracking, and reporting grant funds.
  • Support the monthly close and reconciliation process, annual audit, and annual budgeting processes.
Requirements
  • Personal qualities of honesty, credibility, and dedication to the mission and values of Generation Hope.
  • An Associate's degree in nonprofit management, finance management, finance, and/or business administration or a similar degree program or a combination of training and experience.
  • At least two (2) years of bookkeeping experience with technical proficiency in standard accounts payable procedures, account reconciliation, and analysis.
  • At least two (2) years of hands-on experience utilizing QuickBooks Online software or similar financial-management software.
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as Microsoft Suite, Google Workspace, etc.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures, organization, and problem-solving skills.
