Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

About the Role
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Mayo Clinic, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images that help physicians diagnose and treat diseases. This position requires a strong foundation in nuclear medicine technology, including the preparation and administration of radioactive isotopes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Work directly with patients in a variety of medical settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and surgery.
- Respect patient modesty and confidentiality, and handle hostile or demanding patients in a mature and professional manner.
- May be required to work on-call shifts, including holidays and weekends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and graduation from an accredited nuclear medicine technology program.
- Board certification in nuclear medicine technology and current licensure.
- Registration as a certified nuclear medicine technologist (CNMT) with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and maintenance of current licensure.
- CPR/BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of employment.

Must be flexible to work varied hours Monday - Friday, based on department staffing needs. Work areas have 8 and/or 10 hour shifts available.
This is a supplemental position, all shifts will be as needed.
