About the Role

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Mayo Clinic, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images that help physicians diagnose and treat diseases. This position requires a strong foundation in nuclear medicine technology, including the preparation and administration of radioactive isotopes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Work directly with patients in a variety of medical settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and surgery.
  • Respect patient modesty and confidentiality, and handle hostile or demanding patients in a mature and professional manner.
  • May be required to work on-call shifts, including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and graduation from an accredited nuclear medicine technology program.
  • Board certification in nuclear medicine technology and current licensure.
  • Registration as a certified nuclear medicine technologist (CNMT) with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and maintenance of current licensure.
  • CPR/BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of employment.
