About the Role

As a Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist at Mayo Clinic, you will play a critical role in preparing and administering radioactive isotopes to produce high-quality images that aid in diagnosing diseases. This position requires strong communication skills, as you will work directly with patients in various medical settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and surgery. You will be responsible for respecting patient modesty and confidentiality, as well as handling challenging situations with professionalism.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include preparing and administering radioactive isotopes, working with patients in various medical settings, and maintaining patient confidentiality. You will also be required to work on-call shifts, including holidays and weekends. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate flexibility in response to varying workloads and maintain current licensure as a certified nuclear medicine technologist (CNMT) with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and be a graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program. You must also be board certified in nuclear medicine technology and maintain current licensure. CPR/BLS certification is also required, which can be obtained within 90 days of employment. This position requires a non-exempt status and offers a competitive hourly rate of $37.02 - $55.56.
