Responsibilities

We are seeking a full-time internal medicine physician with a focus on breast medicine to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in continuing the practice of general internal medicine, with additional knowledge or training in breast medicine, or be willing to be trained in the specialty. The physician will work in partnership with specialist colleagues in Internal Medicine, breast imaging, medical oncology, pathology, radiation oncology, general surgery, plastic surgery, genetics, and psychology to provide personalized breast cancer treatment for great patient outcomes.

The Breast Clinic has multiple active Clinical Trials composed of national cooperative group, investigator-initiated, and industry-sponsored trials. The Clinic has robust research support staff, data analysts, and coordinators, and works closely with other Mayo Clinic sites to leverage skills, resources, and collaboration.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should be board-certified/board-eligible in internal medicine with a desire for scholarly activity. Preference will be given to those candidates with additional year(s) of training in advanced General Internal Medicine (Chief Residency or fellowship) or internal medicine practice experience. Research training through fellowship or a Master's Degree program is desirable, but not a prerequisite for application.
