Position Summary:

The Licensed Skin Care Specialist is tasked with delivering a range of treatments aimed at enhancing the health and aesthetic appeal of the skin. This role encompasses various services, from basic facials and chemical peels to advanced procedures such as laser treatments and microdermabrasion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism.
  • Handle incoming calls, take messages, and provide routine information following established protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Stay informed about current policies, procedures, and promotional activities.
  • Participate in team meetings and engage in educational opportunities as directed by supervisors.
  • Maintain proficiency in the scheduling and registration systems.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Manage patient appointment scheduling and coordination.
  • Serve as a reliable source of information regarding services and products.
  • Clearly explain financial and insurance policies to patients.
  • Ensure equipment is clean and functioning properly.
  • Report any technical issues with equipment promptly.
  • Assist front desk operations as needed.
  • Handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Assist with sanitation and maintenance of cosmetic tools and workstations.
  • Ensure treatment rooms meet OSHA standards and maintain a soothing atmosphere.
  • Assess patients' skin care goals and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Document all treatment procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Consult with physicians on treatment protocols as necessary.
  • Provide various esthetic services, including chemical peels, waxing, and micro needling.
  • Keep treatment areas stocked with necessary supplies and clean linens.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
  • Stay updated on new products and services.
  • Assist with event planning and execution.
  • Adhere to universal precautions and sterilization protocols.
  • Perform any additional duties as required to support operational success.
Qualifications:
  • State licensure as an esthetician in good standing.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in esthetics.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of skin care treatments and products.
  • Basic computer and word processing skills.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and reassuring demeanor while addressing patient needs.
  • Familiarity with business office procedures and effective communication.
  • Capability to build and maintain effective relationships with patients and colleagues.
