Your Role:

The Senior Analyst/Consultant for Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) will play a pivotal role in supporting the TPRM team in meeting its review, challenge, and reporting obligations, as well as adhering to operational risk management and control framework standards. This position leverages extensive knowledge and expertise to assist in identifying, measuring, managing, monitoring, and controlling third party risks in alignment with CIBC's policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the identification and assessment of Third Party Risk in a proactive and ongoing manner.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of CIBC's TPRM practices across the entire third party lifecycle.
  • Assist in the oversight and effective challenge of third party risk and control measures.
  • Support the maintenance and updating of the TPRM Policy Supplement and related framework standards.
  • Participate in second line of defense Objective Assessments.
  • Coordinate the review and challenge of Third Party Risk Assessments with residual risks above Low.
  • Monitor the resolution of identified issues and risks, ensuring compliance with management processes.
  • Generate regular reports on TPRM program status, trends, and mitigation strategies for senior management and governance committees.
  • Stay informed on changes in third party regulatory requirements and collaborate with the TPRM team on impact assessments.

Who You Are:

  • You possess 2-4 years of experience in Third Party Risk Management or a related operational risk field, preferably within Financial Services.
  • You hold a bachelor's degree or have equivalent professional experience.
  • You excel in data analysis and problem-solving, effectively communicating complex information.
  • You are proficient in MS Office Suite and data analysis tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • You thrive in collaborative environments and understand the value of teamwork.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • You pay attention to detail and utilize critical thinking to inform decision-making.
