Position Summary:
As a Risk Management Consultant, you will play a vital role in identifying and addressing operational risks within James Hardie's framework. Your responsibilities will encompass evaluating business processes, pinpointing potential vulnerabilities, generating insightful reports, and collaborating with various departments to ensure effective risk controls are in place.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Oversight: Lead the development and implementation of operational risk frameworks and methodologies for Key Risk Indicators (KRI). Regularly update policies, standards, and procedures while conducting assessments to test the effectiveness of controls.
  • Business Continuity Planning: Enhance business continuity and disaster recovery strategies for critical operations through thorough investigations and actionable plans. Ensure that plans remain current and facilitate tabletop exercises globally with external consultants.
  • Committee Engagement: Provide support for Shared Services Risk Committees, contributing to the quality assurance of the internal control framework and monitoring processes.
  • Risk Training: Deliver training sessions and raise awareness regarding key risks and management strategies, including the testing of relevant controls for stakeholders.
  • Risk Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments by analyzing process flows and collaborating with Audit to ensure risks are effectively mitigated.
  • Risk Identification: Identify and assess key risks and control issues, aligning with the organization's risk appetite and managing controls within Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools.
  • Third-Party Risk Management: Oversee third-party risks, ensuring compliance with James Hardie's policies and adherence to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and safety standards.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Financial Services, IT, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in risk management and compliance. Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST-CSF, GDPR, and CCPA is essential. Experience in risk management within a manufacturing context is advantageous. Relevant certifications such as CRISC, ISACA, CISM, COBIT, CISA, ORM, or IRM are required.

Skills:
Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in risk assessment, and the ability to meticulously review operational procedures and compliance regulations. Effective communication skills are crucial for engaging with internal stakeholders and prioritizing their needs. Proficiency in creating high-quality reports and presentations is expected, along with solid negotiation and influencing skills. The role may require occasional travel, with a hybrid work environment necessitating a minimum of three days in the office each week.
