Compensation Overview: Base Salary Range: $16.00. Employees may also qualify for Short Term and Long-Term Incentive benefits. Additionally, employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and Paid Volunteer Time Off.

The final salary for this role may consider various factors, including location, skills, education, and experience.

This position requires 6-8 weeks of travel for training purposes. All travel expenses for training will be covered by the company, including flights, rental cars, lodging, and meals. Weekend travel home may be discussed during the interview process.

Position Responsibilities:

As a Plasma Center Technician at BioLife, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and feel fulfilled by the impact of your work.

Your Daily Responsibilities May Include:

  • Outstanding Customer Service: Answering phones, greeting donors, and ensuring their safety while focusing on their needs.
  • Medical History Documentation: Utilizing your attention to detail to screen new and returning donors, taking and recording vital signs and finger stick results. You will manage donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Identifying operational opportunities for enhancement and initiating changes to center processes as needed, following company-approved procedures.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a clean and professional workspace, attending team meetings, and collaborating with management to solve problems.
  • Dependability: Being available for our donors, which includes working various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Phlebotomy Skills: Learning to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced plasmapheresis machines while ensuring donor safety.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire work shift
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical capability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach
  • Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., with occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor skills, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
  • Due to potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens, 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in food service, retail, healthcare, laboratory, or regulated environments
  • Strong customer service abilities
  • Desire to thrive in a fast-paced setting
