BioLife Plasma Services operates as a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.
Compensation: Base Salary Range: $16.00. Employees may also qualify for Short Term and Long-Term Incentive benefits. Participation in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and Paid Volunteer Time Off is available.
The final salary for this position may consider various factors, including location, skills, education, and experience.
This role will necessitate 6-8 weeks of travel for training purposes, with all related expenses covered by the company, including flights, rental cars, lodging, and meals. Weekend travel home may be discussed during the interview process.
Role Responsibilities:As an entry-level Plasma Center Technician at BioLife, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and find fulfillment in your contributions.

Your Daily Tasks May Include:
- Outstanding Customer Engagement: Answering calls, welcoming donors, and ensuring their safety while focusing on their needs.
- Medical History Documentation: Utilizing your attention to detail to screen new and returning donors, recording vital signs and finger stick results. You will manage donor charts, maintain accurate records, and oversee donor compensation.
- Operational Excellence: Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, implementing changes to center processes as necessary, following company-approved procedures.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a clean and professional workspace, participating in team meetings, and collaborating with management to solve problems.
- Reliability: Being present for our donors, which includes working various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Phlebotomy Skills: Learning to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced plasmapheresis machines while ensuring donor safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire work shift
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Capability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach
- Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., with occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor skills, depth perception, and auditory ability to hear equipment from a distance
- Due to potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens, 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear
- Experience in food service, retail, healthcare, laboratory, or regulated environments
- Strong customer service abilities
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced setting
