Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will work under the supervision of providers, leadership, or RNs to assist in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients. Your duties will include performing various tasks to support patient care, such as observing patient behavior, reporting observations, and providing support during high-stress situations. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal and observation skills, as well as the ability to remain calm and think effectively in high-pressure situations. A certificate in mental health technology or a related field is preferred, and BLS Certification through the American Heart Association is required. **Requirements:**

* High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
* Health or mental health care experience preferred
* Certificate in mental health technology or related field, such as licensed nursing assistant preferred
* BLS Certification through American Heart Association
* Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification

**Responsibilities:**

* Assist in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients
* Observe patient behavior and report observations to healthcare team members
* Provide support during high-stress situations
* Maintain accurate records
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
