Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Antech Diagnostics. As a Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of laboratory results, while providing exceptional client service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and prepare samples for laboratory analysis and testing, ensuring compliance with established protocols and procedures.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, analyzers, and other instruments, to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests, including chemistry, hematology, and serology, to diagnose and monitor patient conditions.
- Enter and release test results, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and communicating with clients and healthcare professionals as needed.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, including proficiency testing and instrument calibration, to ensure the highest level of laboratory performance.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and other departments to ensure seamless workflow and efficient laboratory operations.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies, techniques, and procedures, and apply this knowledge to improve laboratory performance and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience, preferably in a veterinary or medical laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, healthcare professionals, and laboratory staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a laboratory environment with potential biohazards present.
- Use of potentially hazardous chemicals as defined by the National Hazard Communication Standards.
