Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and certifications of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain a physical inventory of key equipment repair parts.
- Install and test new equipment to ensure proper working condition and accurate asset management.
- Assist in instructing laboratory personnel on the proper use of instruments, asset documentation, and maintenance requirements.
- Assist in maintaining calibration equipment used on laboratory and operational support equipment.
- Coordinate internal and external service requirements to ensure timely repairs and documentation.
- Develop and maintain asset management database to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop, implement, and document educational and training requirements.
- Develop, implement, and document standard operating procedure requirements.
- Ensure documentation and implementation of corrective action procedures.
- Participate in corporate and local QA functions to standardize and improve laboratory service standards.
- Maintain the integrity of all support hard files.
- Prepare all administrative service and purchase requisitions.
- Submit monthly PM and certification database reports with corrective actions to the department manager.
- Perform special projects as assigned by department manager.
- 1-2 years of related experience.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Experience with PC database and word processing programs.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Logical thought process, accountability, physical dexterity, and the ability to clearly/effectively communicate with team members and lab personnel outside the department.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
