Position Overview:
The role of the radiation therapist is vital within the radiation oncology team. This position entails the precise administration of therapeutic radiation treatments and simulations for patients, guided by a radiation oncologist. A comprehensive understanding of radiation therapy principles, along with strong patient assessment and communication skills, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver daily radiation therapy treatments to assigned patients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, while adhering to scheduling protocols for various age groups.

• Maintain comprehensive records of treatments and other necessary documentation.

• Engage in the orientation and training of new radiation therapists, covering unit-specific procedures, on-call protocols, and simulation techniques, while providing constructive feedback to leadership.

• Conduct computed tomography (CT) simulations and clinical simulations in accordance with established departmental guidelines.

• The responsibilities outlined are a general overview and additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.

Technical Skills:
• Radiation Therapy (Novice): Demonstrates foundational proficiency in administering radiation treatments effectively and efficiently.

• Computed Tomography Technology (Novice): Shows basic proficiency in performing CT technology applications.

• Training (Novice): Capable of presenting educational modules and demonstrating knowledge of course content and audience engagement.

• Patient Documentation (Novice): Possesses the ability to perform patient documentation competently.
