Radiation Oncology
Position Overview:
The radiation therapist plays a vital role within the radiation oncology team. This position is responsible for the precise administration of therapeutic radiation treatments and simulations for patients, under the guidance of a radiation oncologist. A comprehensive understanding of radiation therapy principles, along with strong patient assessment and communication skills, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver daily radiation therapy treatments to assigned patients efficiently and accurately, ensuring adherence to scheduling for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of treatments and other necessary documentation.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new radiation therapists, covering unit-specific procedures, protocols, and on-call procedures, while providing timely feedback to leadership.
• Conduct computed tomography (CT) simulation procedures and clinical simulations in accordance with established departmental protocols.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Technical Skills:
• Radiation Therapy (Novice): Capable of administering daily radiation treatments accurately and efficiently.
