We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:- Obtain patient histories and vital signs, and record accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment, and document chief complaints.
- Retrieve laboratory and radiology test results, and instruct patients regarding medications and treatment per clinician's instructions.
- Stock supplies and prepare exam rooms and instruments for examinations, testing, or minor surgeries.
- Respond to incoming phone calls and refer if necessary.
- Call patients as necessary to follow up and/or schedule appointments.
- 1+ years of healthcare office experience.
- Experience in a medical office setting.
- Experience with PC and Microsoft office.
- Medical Assistant certification.
- 1+ years of experience working as a Medical Assistant performing front and clinical back-office duties.
- Experience working with EPIC EMR software.
