Job Summary

Tao Group Hospitality is seeking an experienced Executive Wok Chef to lead our Wok Department team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Oversee the preparation and presentation of all Wok dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of Wok chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ensuring that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available.
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and develop new menu items, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of previous culinary supervisory/management experience within a high-volume kitchen setting.
  • Education: Two-year associate degree (60 credit hours) in Culinary Arts or equivalent work experience.
  • Skills: Strong menu planning, coaching, problem-solving, and leadership skills required. Proficient with computers (Microsoft Products), POS, and technology.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
