Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Facilities Maintenance to join our team at Community Transit. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing the maintenance of our facilities, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and meet the needs of our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities maintenance strategy that aligns with the agency's goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Manage and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of maintenance services.
  • Develop and manage the division's budget, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure our facilities are maintained at the highest level of quality and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Seven years of experience in facility, project, and/or construction management.
  • Five years of general supervisory and management experience in a facilities environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree in facility, project, construction and/or business management or a related field may be substituted for three years of the non-supervisory experience requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Transit industry experience.
Working Conditions

This position is a hybrid telework role, with a mix of on-site and remote work. The successful candidate will be required to work in an office environment and may be required to lift and carry materials up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
