Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Facilities Maintenance to join our team at Community Transit. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and meet the needs of our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Manager of Facilities Maintenance, you will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing a comprehensive facilities maintenance strategy that aligns with our agency's goals and objectives.
  2. Directing and supervising a team of maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  3. Coordinating with other departments to ensure that facilities maintenance needs are met, and that our buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
  4. Managing and overseeing the maintenance budget, ensuring that we are using our resources efficiently and effectively.
  5. Staying up-to-date with the latest facilities maintenance methodologies and technologies, and implementing best practices to improve our operations.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Seven years of experience in facilities maintenance, with a minimum of five years in a supervisory or management role.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as facilities management, construction management, or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
