Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the department or agency head, including preparing reports, conducting research, and performing public relations duties.
- Assist in developing departmental programs and policies, and maintain records and files of reports and studies.
- Perform varied public relations duties, including preparing news releases and writing and delivering speeches.
- Meet with community groups to explain county programs and engender public interest and participation.
- Supervise the clerical staff and review and reply to correspondence.
- Provide staff assistance to an administrative board or commission by preparing agendas, maintaining records, and preparing reports or editing orders for overseers.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other governmental agencies.
- Prepare budget estimates and various other fiscal and statistical reports.
- High School Diploma or GED
- TWO (2) years experience in related office, or any equivalent combination of experience and/or training
