Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the department or agency head, including preparing reports, conducting research, and performing public relations duties.
  • Assist in developing departmental programs and policies, and maintain records and files of reports and studies.
  • Perform varied public relations duties, including preparing news releases and writing and delivering speeches.
  • Meet with community groups to explain county programs and engender public interest and participation.
  • Supervise the clerical staff and review and reply to correspondence.
  • Provide staff assistance to an administrative board or commission by preparing agendas, maintaining records, and preparing reports or editing orders for overseers.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other governmental agencies.
  • Prepare budget estimates and various other fiscal and statistical reports.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • TWO (2) years experience in related office, or any equivalent combination of experience and/or training
