Administrative Support Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to support our Human Resources team at Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department, including greeting employees and visitors, organizing meetings and events, and coordinating interview scheduling.
- Assist recruiters with interview coordination and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Receive and distribute office mail, prepare and process expense reports, and handle HR contracts.
- Process purchase orders, maintain and update HR records, and update the HRIS database.
- Proofread and prepare documents and correspondence, and prepare reports using HRIS and Excel.
- Address and fulfill various ad hoc requests from the HR team as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with database systems.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detailed oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving, and ability to multitask and prioritize projects well.
