Position: Patient Care Technician

Department: Burn ICU 7H

Shift: Days/ Part Time

Role Summary:

As a Patient Care Technician at Mercy, you will engage in clinical tasks, offer non-clinical assistance, and strive to meet collective objectives alongside your colleagues. Become part of a healing environment that emphasizes compassionate care and superior service.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., CNA/CPCT certification, or currently pursuing a healthcare career program.
  • Experience: No previous experience necessary. New hires will participate in a thorough 175-hour training program to fulfill state requirements.
  • Certifications: BLS certification must be obtained within one month of employment, with PCT competencies to be completed within three months.
  • Physical Requirements: The role necessitates physical abilities such as lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Preferred Experience: EMT, Paramedic, or prior Patient Care experience.
  • Preferred Certifications: CNA, EMT, AUA, CPCT.
