Patient Care Specialist

The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care in the Acute Care Setting. Working under the clinical direction of the registered nurse (RN), this individual performs a variety of delegated patient care services that align with their skills and training.
Job Summary:This is a fast-paced position in the Progressive Care Unit at Porter Hospital, where you will work with cardiac and neuro patients, as well as those requiring critical care step-down from ICU. As a Patient Care Technician, you will be part of a patient-centered team committed to supporting not only our patients but also each other.
Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality patient care services in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the RN to ensure seamless patient care.
- Perform delegated tasks and responsibilities that align with your skills and training.
- Successful completion of a drug screen.
- Employment background check.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- BLS certification.
- 1+ year(s) of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
