Candidate Profile:
Under the supervision of the State Security Officer (SSO) Operations Manager, the Cybersecurity Analyst 2 will function as a senior technical authority within the Security Operations team, overseeing a variety of security systems and tools.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring network activities at a statewide level, identifying potential security threats and incidents.
Conduct in-depth threat assessments and respond effectively to security incidents, ensuring timely actions to mitigate risks.
Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying and rectifying vulnerabilities to strengthen our security framework.
Documentation Responsibilities:
Your role necessitates the creation of detailed documentation for cybersecurity policies, procedures, and systems. You should possess the ability to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, accessible documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
It is essential to provide relevant documentation during incident response and recovery activities. A writing sample must be included with your application, adhering to the specified requirements.
This position also requires participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including week-long standby shifts.
Employment Conditions:
Employment with the SSO is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and security clearance by the Division of Public Safety, which includes fingerprinting.

Familiarity with procedures for creating technical and operational support documentation.

Additional Information:
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing and maintaining a background check and security clearance conducted by the Department of Public Safety. Fingerprinting is required.
