Job Title: Assistant Clinic Director

The Assistant Clinic Director plays a crucial role in supporting the Clinic Director and contributing to the administrative staff. This position requires a high level of expertise and leadership skills to ensure the quality of patient engagement and care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative backup to the Clinic Director as needed.
  • Assume clinic oversight responsibilities in the event of staff absences or vacancies.
  • Supervise CASAC Counselors and ensure the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services.
  • Provide clinical supervision to counselors, focusing on case analysis, person-centered treatment planning, and case management.
  • Participate in clinical supervision with the Clinic Director on a regular basis.
  • Ensure the integration of vocational rehabilitation and resolution of concurrent medical disorders within treatment plans.
  • Monitor the quality of patient treatment and reporting documentation, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
  • Coordinate the release of patient treatment summaries to requesting agencies.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in agency committees.
  • Contribute to the generation and implementation of research and demonstration proposals.
  • Provide staff training and ensure the implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Ensure staff adherence to patient confidentiality and privacy guidelines.
Patient Care Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the development of patient treatment plans as a member or chairperson of the Interdisciplinary Team.
  • Ensure the timely completion of patient treatment and reporting documentation.
  • Conduct initial mental health screenings and evaluations for patients.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, crisis therapy, and marital/family therapy as needed.
  • Coordinate referrals and follow-ups for patients requiring out-patient, in-patient, or emergency psychiatric services.
Patient Engagement Expectations:
  • SCREENING: Evaluate patients for eligibility and suitability for admission to the program.
  • INTAKE: Complete required documents for admission and obtain patient consent for information sharing.
  • ORIENTATION: Inform patients of program goals, rules, and expectations.
  • ASSESSMENT: Identify patient strengths, weaknesses, and needs for treatment planning.
  • TREATMENT PLANNING: Establish goals and treatment processes with patients.
  • COUNSELING: Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • CASE MANAGEMENT: Coordinate services and resources for patients.
  • CRISIS INTERVENTION: Respond to patients in acute emotional and physical distress.
  • PATIENT EDUCATION: Provide information on alcohol and other drug abuse and available services.
  • REFERRAL: Identify patient needs and assist with external referrals.
  • REPORT AND RECORD KEEPING: Document patient assessment and treatment outcomes.
  • CONSULTATION: Collaborate with internal and external professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker required.
  • Master's degree in Healthcare, Public Health, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Three years of post-Masters degree experience in mental health settings, including substance abuse treatment.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a counseling supervisor.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to problem-solve and motivate individuals and groups.
  • A strong commitment to furthering institutional performance measures through interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Experience in providing and documenting psychological assessments and screenings, including diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Bilingualism is a plus.
Travel Requirements:
  • Up to 20% of time spent on staff training and management development programs.
