Position Overview:


This role involves managing, coordinating, and delivering nursing care with empathy and professionalism for a designated group of patients and their families, while also incorporating preventive strategies.


Sign-On Bonus:


Eligible candidates may receive a substantial sign-on bonus.


Nursing Objective:

The primary goal of nursing is to educate and assist patients in achieving their highest level of wellness, as defined by the patients and their families, while also integrating preventive measures.


Qualifications:
Education and/or Other Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current registration or eligibility for licensure in the State of Illinois as a professional nurse is required.

- Current Hepatitis B vaccination
- Completion of additional training or demonstration of competency in skills as outlined in the unit-specific competency plan.

Ability to comprehend and interpret spoken information and ideas.
Ability to apply general principles to specific challenges to derive logical solutions.

Environmental Considerations:

This position involves frequent exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

Physical Requirements:


The physical demands outlined are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.


While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, and assist in lifting patients; to assist patients and/or adjust equipment at floor level; to reach, change, and read IVs from a height of 5 feet unaided; to support the weight of individuals weighing 200 pounds or more in emergency situations.

Ability to attend to visual details.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
Ability to receive and understand written and verbal communications.
Ability to read from a distance of 5 feet unaided.
Ability to utilize fine motor skills, hear, and meet visual demands.
The employee will frequently be required to lift, push, and pull weights ranging from 5 to 50 pounds.
