About the Role:
The PCA plays a vital role in supporting the nursing staff by delivering essential care and personal services to patients. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting patients with daily living activities such as feeding, bathing, and mobility.
- Providing hygiene care, including oral, nail, and hair care, while ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
- Documenting all care provided in the appropriate clinical records accurately.
- Monitoring and reporting significant changes in patients' physical and emotional conditions.
- Performing diagnostic support tasks, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for various procedures.
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment, adhering to all safety protocols and universal precautions.
- Accompanying patients during diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Implementing emergency measures when necessary and documenting all relevant information in clinical records.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a CNA within the last three years in relevant healthcare settings.
- Ability to provide nursing care for adult patients in various medical situations.
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is mandatory.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- COVID-19 vaccination certification is required.
