Position Overview

AECOM is currently seeking a Civil Project Engineer with expertise in water resources and/or transportation projects for a position in our Sacramento, CA office. This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage in flood protection initiatives and the design of a new off-stream storage dam in Northern California. As AECOM continues to secure new projects, your career here will consistently offer diverse opportunities across various assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance for water infrastructure projects, including design, analysis, inspection, construction oversight, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction.
  • Collaborate with teams on analyses for dams, reservoirs, levees, canals, tunnels, pipelines, flood protection systems, and conveyance facilities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, memos, and engineering design and construction-related materials.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • California Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain it within six months.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Caltrans or other Department of Transportation projects.
  • Master's degree in civil engineering.
  • Proficiency in CADD software such as Civil 3D and Microstation Open Roads.
  • Familiarity with modeling software including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and HY-8 is preferred.

Additional Information

Compensation will be determined based on location and individual qualifications, with an expected range of $90,000 to $135,000.
