Workforce Solutions, LLC is collaborating with a reputable family-owned manufacturing enterprise seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations.

Role Responsibilities:

The Accounting Manager will be pivotal in shaping the financial strategy while managing the daily accounting functions. The ideal candidate will engage in routine accounting tasks and propose enhancements to financial processes and systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising daily accounting activities with utmost confidentiality, including:
    • Month-end and year-end closing procedures
    • Accounts payable and receivable management
    • Cash flow management
    • General ledger maintenance
    • Cash forecasting
    • Variance analysis of revenue and expenditures
    • Processing check runs
    • Handling financial documentation such as invoices and reporting journals, ensuring accurate data entry into the company’s software systems.
  • Maintaining comprehensive fiscal records to document all transactions.
  • Analyzing sales and profit forecasts against actual performance and adjusting future budgets as necessary.
  • Providing oversight for payroll in collaboration with the HR department.
  • Leading the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, cash flow statements, balance sheets, and budgets.
  • Implementing and supervising accounting and internal control policies and procedures.
  • Guiding the development of corporate and property-level budgets.
  • Monitoring purchasing activities, accounts receivable collections, and tax payments.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline; relevant work experience will be considered. A master’s degree is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in an accounting role, particularly as an Accounting Manager, is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with company-specific software programs.
  • Experience with AccPac is preferred or a willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Experience in a small business context is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401k plan with employer matching, and optional supplemental insurance.

Work Schedule:

This salaried position typically requires on-site work during standard office hours, Monday through Friday.
