The Program Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the organization's import and export activities, ensuring adherence to trade regulations. This position leads special initiatives within the Supply Chain that aim to unify and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership, guidance, and motivation to a team of Supply Chain professionals.
  • Oversee trade compliance, developing logistics systems and processes to meet regulatory and legal standards.
  • Stay informed on US and international trade regulations, crafting effective import strategies to ensure compliance and minimize disruptions.
  • Assist with the classification of imports and exports.
  • Coordinate efforts between Logistics, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to optimize Supply Chain operations.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and work instructions, offering training to team members while identifying professional development needs.
  • Initiate and drive Supply Chain optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate Supply Chain operations using data-driven models, conducting risk assessments and formulating mitigation strategies.
  • Lead projects aimed at reducing Supply Chain costs.
  • Adhere to internal and external policies, including occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in trade compliance.
  • Experience in import and export operations.
  • Background in supply chain management and logistics.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of trade compliance regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and inspire team members.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
