Job Summary:

As a Polysomnographic Technologist with Christus Health, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Your expertise will be essential in operating and calibrating equipment, determining testing parameters, and scoring sleep/wake stages. You will also be responsible for completing and verifying records of all procedures performed, as well as providing oversight to junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and calibrate sleep disorder diagnosis and treatment equipment
  • Determine testing parameters and procedures with the aid of a physician
  • Score sleep/wake stages and complete records of all procedures performed
  • Provide oversight to junior staff members, including Polysomnographic Technicians
  • Comply with BRPT standards and maintain confidentiality

Requirements:

  • 4-year BA/BS in healthcare degree from an accredited institution preferred
  • Ability to concentrate and make quick judgments with a high level of skill, knowledge, understanding, and accuracy
  • Ability to work without close supervision
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Requires at least 3 years of experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist, with experience in pediatric sleep preferred
  • Must hold a registry in good standing with any of the credentialing organizations listed: The Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT), The American Board of Sleep Medicine (RST), or The National Board of Respiratory Care (SDS)

Work Environment:

This is a per diem, as-needed position, requiring flexibility and adaptability. You will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
