As a Polysomnographic Technologist at CHRISTUS Health, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Your expertise will be essential in operating and calibrating equipment, determining testing parameters, and scoring sleep/wake stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct sleep disorder studies accurately and safely, adhering to physician orders.
- Operate and maintain all equipment used for sleep disorder diagnosis and treatment.
- Determine testing parameters and procedures in collaboration with physicians.
- Score sleep/wake stages and complete records of all procedures performed.
- Provide oversight to Polysomnographic Technicians and ensure adherence to BRPT standards.
Requirements:
- 4-year Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field from an accredited institution.
- Ability to concentrate and make quick judgments with high accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer proficiency and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist, with pediatric sleep experience preferred.
- Registry in good standing with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT), American Board of Sleep Medicine (RST), or National Board of Respiratory Care (SDS).
