Principal Architect - Linux

At General Dynamics, we're seeking a highly skilled Principal Architect to lead our Linux team. As a key member of our systems engineering team, you'll design and implement advanced Linux architectures and ensure seamless integration with our current Linux and Windows environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as lead architect to create advanced Linux architectures and designs
  • Integrate Linux Systems into a primary Windows environment with authentication, authorization, and accounting activities controlled by Active Directory with PKI certificates and Single Sign On
  • Configure new Linux systems for customer use and ensure initial configurations meet required enterprise baselines & controls
  • Integrate Linux systems with other enterprise tooling such as ACAS, Splunk, SolarWinds, Backup systems, etc.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 14 years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope, and complexity
  • Thorough experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu, or a derivative
  • DoD Instruction 8570 Level II Certification within 6 months of assignment
  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility and a T5 or T5R within the last 5 years
